So, I've just discovered plugboards! It took me a little while to figure them out - and I still don't understand how you make the "blinking" buttons - but I will!

- Just A Note
- Thank You
Thursday, June 26, 2008
Well, along comes Casey. My Mother-in-law could not take Casey to her new apartment, so my husband and I adopted him. When he first arrived I had never seen such an interesting looking cat. I didn't realize the saucer eyes were because he was most likely terrified from his journey from Virgina to New York. (After about two days his eyes were normal cat eyes again - thank goodness!)
Shea is a herding dog and poor Casey has gone from living a quiet and serene life with my Mother-in-law to a household people coming and going, noise .... and being constantly herded around the house by Shea.
I often tiptoe into a room just so I could pay some attention to poor Casey. If Shea has the slightest hint that I'm paying attention to "someone" besides her - she is right by my side making sure that I also pay at least the same amount of attention to her.
When my youngest son was about three I remember him saying to me about our dog at the time - Cindy - "I can't believe we have an animal living in our house!" We are now blessed and lucky to have these TWO wonderful animals living in our house!

These Etsy Shops have generously purchased cards from participating EtsyGreetings shops to donate to Mission Soldier Support. All cards will be sent to Capturedtimebooks who is coordinating this event and will be mailing them overseas for our soldiers to use.

This is a project that was started at EtsyGreetings by Capturedtimebooks. Purchase a card or cards from any of the participating shops and it/they will be sent to Capturedtimebooks to be mailed at the end of July 2008 to an Air Support Battalion in Iraq.
Being from a military family (my husband is retired and my son is being deployed in August) I know that contact with home is important on both ends. By participating in Mission Soldier Support, not only are you showing the soldiers that you are thinking of them and care - you are also showing their families.
When a family member or friend receives a handmade card from their soldier or airmen, they will know that people here care and remember.....and that is a good feeling!
Your participation in this project is not about whether or not you support a war - it is about people .... our soldiers and airmen that are away from home.

Several Etsy Shops have gotten together and will be donating cards to be sent to an Air Support Battalion in Iraq for the soldiers use. Cards are blank so that the soldiers can send them home to loved ones. Here are the cards that I've sent in for this cause.
You can help too. Here's all you have to do:
Purchase a card and in the "notes to seller" indicate that you would like to donate your purchase to Mission Soldier Support. Your purchase will be sent to our coordinator for this project..... Capturedtimebooks who will be sending all the cards to the Air Support Battalion.
Read more about this project and about those that have already contributed to this great cause.
